Hello Yorktown Band families,
Here is the cost communication for the 2023-2024 school year. Particularly with marching band, the season cost is typically released before the season. This year I needed to wait until I had final numbers for budgeting purposes. I delayed longer while awaiting an online payment option. APS is rolling out a payment system called SchoolCash Online. You can enroll here. I have submitted our band items and anticipate that they will be payable within the next few days.
Both the marching band and concert band costs have increased this year. For marching band, the smaller enrollment has necessitated an increase in the per-person student cost. I was able to keep it to just a $50 increase with help from the Yorktown Band Boosters as well as instructional support from the APS Fine Arts Office. The concert band fee has gone increased just $10 this year.
Rental contracts for school-owned instruments can be completed here.
I understand, particularly for the marching band season fee that this is a short turnaround. Please let me know if your family needs more time or to set up a payment plan. Financial Assistance is available for those in need of such assistance. Requests for financial assistance should be made directly to the Band Director prior to the due date for the related fee.
