The Wind Ensemble is a full year, 1-credit course. This ensemble performs Seasonal Concerts at Yorktown, participates in the Virginia Band Assessment, and attends the annual Department Spring Trip. Participation in the marching band is a prerequisite for membership to this ensemble.

The repertoire is chosen from orchestral transcriptions and challenging original literature for band and wind chamber ensemble.
