Colorguard is a bit both pageantry and sport.  Flags, rifles, sabers, and dance are used to interpret music and entertain audiences.  Students condition, train, and rehearse choreography to perform with marching band on the field. Students will demonstrate teamwork, self-responsibility, leadership, and perform at an extremely high level.

The Yorktown High School Colorguard is inviting all rising 8th-12th graders interested in dance and flag spinning to join us for the upcoming fall marching band season.

Interested students are welcome to attend either or both of the following:

  • Open-house practices: May 23 and May 25 from 6PM-8PM in front of the school entrance door #1.

No experience is necessary, and all are welcome.
