On Thursday, the Yorktown Big Band traveled to Shenandoah University to participate in a regional Essentially Ellington Jazz Festival. The band played well and received an inspiring clinic from professional trumpet player Bijon Watson. You can check out photos and some videos from the event here. The jazz band performs this Saturday at the Chantilly Jazz Festival at 10:50 a.m. That event is free and open to the public, so come cheer on our big band!
Preparations continue for our upcoming concert, Spring Fever, on Tuesday, May 21.
