Dear Spring Trip Families,
It’s almost time for the trip! There is an exciting itinerary (see attached); please take special note of the arrival time at YHS on the departure day. We need to make sure the students arrive, get the bus loaded, and head out before the school parking lot starts to fill for the day.
As you will see in the itinerary, there will be a lot of time walking around and exploring, so please bring comfortable shoes, clothes, and sunblock. Go here for the full recommended packing list. Students will also need money for lunch each day, and we recommend they bring some spending money as well. Please note that Busch Gardens is a cashless park. Go here for more information about the park and its policies.
Leading up to the trip, please feel free to send any questions to me at YorktownBandArlington@gmail.com. Once on the trip, please make sure you and your student have charged phones for check ins, as necessary. In the event of an emergency or a question requiring guardian input, you will receive a call from one of the lead chaperones: Heather Sutton or Ken Mitchell.
This is sure to be an amazing trip, and great band memories will be made!
