Hello YMB families,
The weather has not been our friend this week. We stayed inside on Tuesday and worked through some light rain yesterday. Due to the lost time on the field on Tuesday, we need a little more rehearsal time to prepare for Friday’s home football game. I have added a short after-school rehearsal for tomorrow, Friday, September 19. We will rehearse on Field 2 from 3:30 to 4:45.
I presume most students were planning to stay after school already due to the early report time for Rising Patriots Night. Yorktown Band Boosters are providing pizza for dinner for the YMB students.
Students will need to bring the following with them to school tomorrow:
- Rehearsal clothes (white tee shirt)
- Water jug
- Y-Band Uniform (shirt & shorts)
- MTXs (marching shoes)
- Black socks
I appreciate your flexibility. We are getting close to having the full show on the field, props are coming together, and we are looking forward to our first competition next week. Speaking of next week, we are also looking at the possibility of adding another Friday afternoon (3:30 – 5) rehearsal on 9/27 since we are short on rehearsal time due to the Tuesday holiday. There is no home football game on Friday, 9/27.
