Marching Band Chaperone Interest
Calling all marching band parents! Interested in learning more about serving as a chaperone for this summer’s marching band camp, August 3-8? Find answers to your questions like 1) Can I still get work done at camp (totally); 2) Do I have to commit to the whole week (no); 3) Is it worth it? (absolutely) and more!

2025 Pre-Season Rehearsal Dates
- June 10, 11 & 12: 6-8pm June rehearsals
- July 30, 31: 6-9pm: Pre-Camp Rehearsals, Yorktown
- August 3-8: Band Camp, Mercersburg Academy (2025 Packing List)
- Aug 11-14, 18, 19, 20: 6-9pm, Post Camp Rehearsals
- August 20: 5:30-6:30pm Pep-Band Rehearsal; 7:30-9:30pm Post Camp Rehearsal

2025 Camp Fees (anticipated)
Regular $575 / Reduced Lunch $250 / Free Lunch $125
Fees cover transportation, lodging, food, and instruction/operations.
- June 16: 50% Band Camp Deposit Due ($275)
- July 15: Band Camp Balance Due ($300, estimated)
Band Camp Deposit ($275) & forms due June 16.

All paper and digital Band Camp Forms are due on June 16th. They may be submitted one of three ways:
- Complete, scan (no photo please), and email to bandcamp@yorktownband.org

Preview Performance From Camp
- We will perform a preview show on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Mercersburg Academy
- The performance is free and open to all families should you wish to attend.
- Lunch will not be available for guests who attend the show, so please make other arrangements.
- If parents/caregivers attend the show, you may take your student home if you wish. If they will not be riding the bus, be sure to email bandcamp@yorktownband.org in advance and check out with a bus chaperone before you leave.
