Dear band families,
We know that the next few weeks are super-busy for everyone. We want to make it a little bit easier. First off, no band booster meeting this month. We’ll have a packed agenda next month including the spring trip and early spring fundraiser. Secondly, we want you to take time off from your Turkey day prep this Sunday. We’ve arranged for Cowboy Cafe to donate 20% of orders all day (11am-10pm) – so take a break from holiday prep!

Marching Band Banquet
Our annual end-of-season marching band banquet will be held on November 30. Details will be coming shortly, but this annual potluck event is a chance for all of our marching students and families to gather together one last time to remember the season (no prop moving required).
Winter Band Concert
We loved hearing all the work our students put in at the Chamber Music Concert last week. Next up is the Winter Band Concert. Continuing from last year we will be “selling” concessions in exchange for donations to the Band Boosters. More details will be coming for how you can help at the concert and/or what donations are needed.
Lebanese Taverna Gift Card Fundraiser
We’re partnering with our local fiends (and Yorktown alum and current parents) to help you with your gift giving this holiday season. Lebanese Taverna gift cards will be available on December 8 with 20% of the proceeds donated to YHS Bands! Gift cards are good at all Lebanese Taverna locations including the Market making them great gifts for any of your DMV friends (or back-up plans for those busy holiday nights). All purchases will be made online (link to come).
