I want to again congratulate our All-District Band participants: Michael D., Isla D., Nyx H., Connor R., John S., Natalie V., Andrew D., Aidan R., and Dylan Y. They represented Yorktown brilliantly and grew through focused rehearsals on the way to wonderful performances.
Thank you to those who made an effort to seek sponsors for Practice-A-Thon. We fell fall short of the goal for the concert bands, which unfortunately will make the cost of the Boston trip higher than we had hoped. Nonetheless, a number of students did a fantastic job recruiting sponsors, practicing, and raising funds. Thank you to Mrs. Backer, Ms. Preston, Ms. Miller, and the other YBB volunteers who worked to set the fundraiser up for success.
