Dear Boston trip families,

We have completed the tallies for our practice-a-thon and our students managed to raise approximately $115/student. We had two-thirds participation by our band students and can only imagine how much more could have been raised if we had 100% participation. The Band Boosters will be able to contribute additional funds to lower the cost of the trip by $175 per student. This means that the final trip balance due will be $500 per student (and $250 per chaperone). As with the deposit, you can pay online via PayPal (includes a small handling fee to cover our credit card processing cost) or by check (no fees).

The timeline for remaining items is:

  • February 23 – Remaining balance due
  • February 23 – Additional forms due
  • March 31 – Any additional medical authorization forms for prescriptions due

We will be sending out the final forms later this week. These will include the field trip authorization form and the luggage search authorization form. These forms are required by APS for all overnight trips. The final medication authorization form will be made available as well. This may require a doctor’s office signature depending on your medication so we are allowing additional time. If you already have medical authorization on file from band camp then you do not need to complete this again.
