Hello marching families,
Just wanted to share some final information about the JMU Parade of Champions tomorrow.
For Volunteers
The Sign-Up Genius has been updated with final report times. Please double-check your assignment. We could always use a few (1-2) more people on-site at JMU. Charter bus seats guaranteed if you sign up. Sign up to help and reserve your seat on the bus.
If you have signed up to volunteer but not yet reserved a seat on the bus, please sign up for the bus separately before midnight tonight.
If you are working with props and driving yourself, please meet at the equipment staging area at noon. Spectator and volunteer parking is available in the Stadium Parking Deck (GPS address: 251 Bluestone Drive, Harrisonburg, VA 22807). A point of contact phone number will be sent to those who signed up. Tickets for volunteers have been pre-purchased. Please see your point of contact for wristbands.
Charter Bus Riders
There are still a few seats available on the charter bus. Come support your student without the hassle of driving to/from Harrisonburg. Bus riders should report at the YHS bus loop by 9:45 AM and check in with Lisa Backer. Buses will depart by 10 AM so don’t be late. You can still sign up until midnight tonight to reserve your seat on the bus.
For Everyone
Mr. Witkowski released an updated schedule earlier this week with a 7:30 AM student report time.
Final competition maps and details are available from this link. Spectator ticket information is as follows:
- General Admission: $20
- Discounted Admission: $15 * * Discount Admission available to the following: Active/Retired Military (Military ID required), Students: K-12 & College (ID only required for college students), & Seniors 65+ (ID required).
- Free Admission for children 3 yrs old and under
When admission is purchased, each individual will receive a wristband that will allow admission to the event all day. Wristbands are sold at the contest entrance at Ticket Booth “A”. Payment Options: JMU will accept cash, checks (made payable to “JMU Bands”), and credit cards
We can’t wait for this performance. I managed to catch a glimpse of last night’s rehearsal and it’s really coming together.
