Dear band families,
First off, so much fun seeing some of our marching band volunteers this week in a social setting (no props allowed). Thanks to all who came out. Second, congratulations to the Arlington Indoor Percussion and Yorktown Winterguard on successful starts to their competition seasons! The true reason for this mid-week letter? 1) A reminder that Boston forms and payments are due TOMORROW; and 2) We still need help for the concerts next week.
Need Help Next Week
Thanks to all who have volunteered to work and provide refreshments for the pyramid concert bake sales this coming Monday and Tuesday. If you haven’t signed up yet and have some time over the weekend to bake or buy, please consider contributing to this fundraiser. Middle and elementary school students and their parents will be there, too, and we want to welcome them with a bounty of treats. SIGN UP HERE.
Here’s where we have some holes:
- Mon baked goods – half of slots are filled
- Tues baked goods – third of slots are filled
- Tues – help with closing
Boston Forms and Payments are due TOMORROW
Don’t forget that your field trip authorization and luggage and lodging search permission forms along with your final balance for the trip is due tomorrow. As many of you know, Mr. Norris is retiring after 30 years as director of bands at Swanson Middle School. There will be a special event to honor him in June at Swanson.
