Dear band families,
We are still in full “A-Thon” swing. The band Practice-A-Thon concludes TODAY. Meanwhile, the Arlington Indoor Percussion Drum-A-Thon has been rescheduled to February 3 and the winterguard Spin-A-Thon (scheduled for February 10) has started off strong. We’ll announce the final trip balance for Boston by the end of the week. In the meantime, don’t forget to send in your Boston deposit by the end of January.

Procrastinators Unite – Last Day of Practice-A-Thon
As we’ve seen over the last few days, every little last push can help. The final deadline is tonight. Please help our students reach their $250/student goal by amplifying the message and making sure your student has participated. Every bit helps. A graphic is attached for sharing.
Drum-A-Thon and Spin-A-Thon Continue
Both the Drum-A-Thon and Spin-A-Thon are going strong. Please spread the word about these events. They are different from the practice-a-thon in that the students will have an intensive day of rehearsal. The ends of each rehearsal are open to those who donated to come see what can be accomplished through practice!
Boston Trip Update
Deposits are due on Wednesday for those who opted to take advantage of the extension. You can find out payment information at https://yorktownband.org/boston (as well as all trip details). If you have not yet registered through Kaleidoscope Adventures, you will only be able to add your student to the wait list in their system at this time. All students with parent commitment information previously submitted will still have a place on the trip even if you are listed on the waitlist with the travel agent. Please continue to add your student to the wait list and we’ll ensure they are moved through the waitlist process to the full trip group.
